Pure fun. When you slap MotoCranx onto your bike, you make it into a vehicle of pure fun. Pump tracks, dirt jumps, skate parks, slalom courses, bike parks and rowdy descents all become sine waves of pumpy love power. When my buddies and I ride MotoCranx, everyone says “This is the most fun I’ve had in years,” and “I feel like a kid!” On MotoCranx your body feels natural because your feet are next to each other where you feel more balanced and stable. Stand tall and own the trail!

More powerful. The square motocross stance is significantly stronger than the staggered bike stance. In weightlifting, it’s common for a lifter to use 1/2 their square stance weight when they use a staggered stance. One expert rider who tried MotoCranx on a pump track said, “Oh my god, it’s so fast I don’t think the track is made to handle the speed.” The track can handle it. We just have to catch up.

Faster. The neutral stance opens up so much leg strength it’s crazy. Every pump track racer should rock these until the UCI bans them.

Easier on your body. What other sport confines your feet to an awkward staggered stance? None! Compared with a bike stance with your feet ~340mm apart front to back, the square stance with your feet next to each other is way easier on your legs, hips and low back. While a hip hinge is still important for aggressive riding, the square stance lets you do most of your riding in a more upright, natural posture that requires way less training — and just feels better for most riders. I know many of your quads and low backs ache on long downhills. Say goodbye to that madness.

More efficient training. MotoCranx are the fastest way to hone the pumping techniques used by all great riders. With your feet next to each other, the rest of your body catches on very quickly. When you get back on your pedal bike, you’re way more skilled. It’s like using motocross for gravity mountain bike training — you're riding way faster in a more natural stance. Feel your mobility and power grow, then enjoy mega shred when you get back onto pedals.

I now use MotoCranx every time I teach a rider to pump. They learn at least 2x as fast this way.

Badass workout. Riding with MotoCranx is like doing squats, deadlifts, core, presses and rows all at the same time, with your heart screaming and your soul hauling ass. Said one CrossFit bro who tried MotoCranx on a pump track, “Holy s*** this is working my legs! I hate doing legs in the gym. I’ll do my legs here from now on.” If you’re familiar with the RipRow training tool, MotoCranx makes your bike into a RipRow on wheels.

Work with injuries. If you have any issues with your legs, hips and lower back, MotoCranx allow you to ride and have fun with less fitness, mobility and strength. I’m currently using MotoCranx to rehab a hamstring tear. This video was shot 8 weeks post op.

What bikes does it fit?

MotoCranx fit every threaded BSA bottom bracket on a mountain bike or BMX bike.

Simply remove your bottom bracket cups, screw in the MotoCranx adapters with a SRAM bottom bracket tool, then screw your pedals directly into the MotoCranx.

While you’re at it, remove the bottom bracket spindle, crankarms, chain, derailleur, cassette, shifter cable and shifter (that’s easily 4-5 pounds). If your bike has rear suspension, notice how great it works with less unsprung weight — and no chain!
